This cake is a lovely way to use some elder bananas,  and its totally delicious! The Best Banana Cake Recipe: 4 very ripe bananas 1/2 cup of oil or butter 1 cup of sugar  1 egg 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda French Buttercream recipe: 1/2 cup granulated sugar 3 tablespoons water 4 large egg yolks 1 cup (2 sticks butter) cubed and at room temperature 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) Pinch of salt (if unsalted butter) Enjoy!

Today on Passion for Food we make a classic comfort food, shepherds pie! Shepherds and cottage pies are both classics, but these days when we say "Shepherds" pie we normally mean it has lamb in it, where as cottage usually means beef! Either way these recipes are a great way to use whatever meats and vegetables you happen to have around. Classic Shepherd's Pie Recipe: 1 large onion 1 large carrot 3-5 ribs celery 1 whole head garlic 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon rosemerry 1 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce 1/4th cup flour 3 oz tomato paste 1 cup beef stock 3-4 lbs potatoes for mash potatoes.  1-2 lbs ground lamb Bake @ 400F for 30min. Enjoy!

Today we make the easiest strawberry Pavlova recipe ever! I know it looks super fancy, and it is. But that doesn't mean it's hard to make! With a little time and a lot of whipping this beautiful strawberry pavlova is a breeze to WHIP up! Easiest Strawberry Pavlova Recipe Ever Recipe: 4 Egg whites  1 cup  Sugar 2 teaspoon Cornstarch  1 1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter OR 2 teaspoons white vinegar  pre heat to 300F, place in then reduce to 250 and bake 60min, turn off oven, LEAVE DOOR CLOSED, let cool 4 hours. Top with cream and berries! Enjoy!
