Who doesn't love banana cake?! What, you've never had a banana cake with french buttercream before? Well now is a good time to change that! This cake is a lovely way to use some elder bananas, and its totally delicious!
The Best Banana Cake Recipe:
- 4 very ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup of oil or butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
French Buttercream recipe:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 cup (2 sticks butter) cubed and at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of salt (if unsalted butter)
