The key to a good Tex Mex style dish is the delicate restaurant style seasoned beef! We have all seen those packets of "Taco Seasoning" at the grocery store.. The problem I have with those is the flavors tend to be un-balanced, and the cooking instructions somewhat backwards. Most of them suggest you cook the meat with the seasoning THEN add water and reduce. Doing it in that order totally misses the point of using water in the first place, which is to gently break apart the meat cooking it slowly till its nice and tender. The way the seasoning packets suggest we do things is basically just to build a 'sauce' covering your seasoned meat. But the way we are going to do it actually seasons the meat all the way through, and cooks it to soft and tender perfection! This amazing cookie crust banana cream pie is the classy version of banana pudding with vanilla wafers! With a beautiful custard and a vanilla cookie crust! It's surprisingly quick and easy to make, and is sure to wow anyone who tries some! You could of course cheat and make this with a pudding mix rather than making custard, it would still be good, but a very different pie! It's worth making it with the full custard trust me! Thai Garlic Chili Noodles Recipe - Passion for Food

These noodles are so simple,  and yet crazily delicious! Those crispy fried shallots really bring it together in a big way. I've made this many times, I've tried it with shrimp, I've tried it with seared chicken. But honestly I think my favorite way to have it is just the noodles! The slight sweetness of the sauce is balanced out with a tiny hit of bitterness from the shallots, and you get some nice crunch from both those and the green onions. I suggest the flat thinker rice noodles, if you can find them. You should give this a try! One note, the noodles can get VERY spicy! If you don't like a tun of spice use less chili garlic sauce. The first time I made this I used 3 heaping tablespoons, so that plus the red pepper flakes made it so spicy I had to take a break half way through eating it! I feel like not enough people make these just because they don't SOUND awesome. I mean, right? CABBAGE ROLLS?! Sounds kinda gross, dude. But if you trust me, you should go out on a limb and try these! You can add any flavors or types of meat you like, but the combination I used here was really tasty, and extremely savory because of the mushrooms and little bit of soy sauce rather than just salt! And the gravy is good enough to put on just about anything.
